pH Scale

1. What does the pH scale go up to?
  •  provides a measure on a scale from 0 to 14 of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution 
2. Where are acids/bases on the pH scale?
  • acids are at the beginning(0-6) bases are at the end(8-14).
3. List an example of an acid and base with a corresponding pH.
  •  example of acid-soil(4). example of base-salt(10).
4. What number on a pH scale equals neutral (not an acid or a base)?
